Where You Belong.Job SummaryAt Canterwood Golf and Country Club, our swim instructors play a vital role in ensuring our members, their families, and our guests have access to high-quality swim lessons that teach proper swimming techniques and water safety skills.Pay Rate: $22-$25 per hourDay-to-Day * Teach children with varying swimming abilities swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety skills. * Assess the progress of students and adjust teaching programs to each student's individual needs. * Supervise small group lesson classes and multi-task to ensure student safety while also teaching skills. * Communicate with each student's parents about their child's progress. * Assist in maintaining a clean and well-organized teaching pool, pool deck area, and equipment storage area to ensure the best possible experience for students and teachers. About You * Must be at least 16 years of age. * High school diploma (or working towards a high school diploma) or GED (or working towards a GED). * Some related work experience with swim instruction or competitive swimming background preferred. * Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (inluding CPR/AED and First Aid) OR the ability to attend our in-house lifeguard certification course. * Ability to attend our training program to ensure a uniform, high-quality lesson experience. * Excellent communication skills with both children and adults. * High-energy and positive personality to engage students in lessons. * Capable of prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions during the summer. * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. * Successful completion of our criminal background check.
