Description:
Duties - Perform massage therapy techniques to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, and improve overall well-being.- Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans based on their specific conditions and goals.- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments to determine the most appropriate massage techniques and areas of focus.- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to target specific muscle groups and address clients' concerns.- Utilize deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other specialized techniques to manage acute pain and promote healing.- Provide education and guidance to clients on self-care techniques and exercises for pain management and injury prevention.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant medical information.- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times. Qualifications - Valid state license or certification as a Massage Therapist.- Completion of a recognized massage therapy program or equivalent education.- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess clients' conditions accurately.- Proficiency in various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual client preferences and conditions.- Knowledge of occupational health practices and the ability to provide appropriate recommendations for workplace wellness programs.- Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
