Job Title: Catholic Cantor Location: MacDill Air Force Base Chapel, Tampa, Florida Type of Job: Part-time Schedule: Provide music and/or musical accompaniment at Weekend Masses and 1 Rehearsal every week Support 7 Holy Day worship services, 2 Christmas Masses, 2 Tridium worship services, 3 Holy Week services, and 5 memorial/funeral units Weekly support for 52 Rehearsals Duties: Perform music and/or provide musical accompaniment in accordance with the directives of the American National Conference of Catholic Bishops, particularly as outlined in the Directives on Music in the Liturgy. Collaborate with the Catholic Chaplain or designated personnel to organize and execute musical requirements for Catholic services. Work special rehearsals and services as directed by the Catholic Chaplain. Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience as a Cantor within a military chapel environment. Possess an associate degree in music or equivalent musical education. High level of musical skill and ability to lead and/or accompany worship services by singing and playing guitar or piano simultaneously. Powered by JazzHR
