Practice Area: Insurance Coverage, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney for their Philadelphia, PA office.Job Overview:The Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney will primarily focus on handling insurance coverage disputes and related litigation matters. They will provide legal advice, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings.Duties:Handle insurance coverage disputes and litigation matters.Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance law issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.Assist senior attorneys with complex cases and projects.Stay updated on developments in insurance law and related areas.Requirements:3-4 years of litigation experience.Strong academic background, preferably with a J.D. from a reputable law school.Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.Admission to the New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania Bar.Additional admission to the Connecticut Bar is helpful but not required.Experience in insurance law or related practice areas is preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania Bar.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Legal writing and drafting.Litigation and courtroom advocacy.Client communication and representation.Time management and prioritization.Teamwork and collaboration. This firm has given a lot of thought to the interplay between the New York and the New Jersey legal markets. Although one of the oldest and largest in New Jersey, this firm wants to capture the Manhattan type work at Manhattan type billing rates. Although they are not quite there yet, this firm has developed a structure that enables it to base the bulk of its personnel and resources in New Jersey, and have a small New York space from which to handle the 'big city' work. An interesting plan, to be sure. Associates here raves about the reasonable hours and the immediate responsibility, many of whom deal directly with clients and handle entire cases. This is one of the few New Jersey firms where you will see the reverse commute--attorneys leaving Manhattan to take advantage of pleasant work environment and excellent training ground.
