Plant Engineering and Maintenance ManagerWe are working with a dynamic international food manufacturer in The Catskills region of New York that is looking for an experienced Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager! This role will be pivotal in working with the Maintenance and Engineering Teams in developing, managing, and leading a world-class maintenance organization for maintaining the company s long-term competitiveness.This role reports to the Plant Director. This position will be a hands-on position on the floor daily.Job Responsibilities:Implement and control the maintenance budget, including for capital expenditures.Responsible for preventive maintenance program, verification of work order completion, and management of maintenance technician s time on shift.Responsible for ensuring repairs are completed, defect tag program is maintained, stockroom is sufficiently maintained at levels necessaryResponsible for the environmental compliance of the plant s equipment and environmental systems.Responsible for the direction and management of the maintenance department and its resourcesResponsible for ensuring adequate training of maintenance team, conducting performance evaluations, and managing disciplineRequired Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree preferredAmmonia experience required.Capex experience required.5+ years supervisory or managerial experience required3+ years experience establishing and maintaining budgets and maintenance management strategies3+ years experience packaging and processing equipment, maintenance systems, and equipment installation3+ years experience with start-ups, plant facility and utility equipment, focused in plant engineering and maintenance3+ years experience working with vendorsInterpersonal and team skills to function as a team member and leader.Ability to work hands on and on the floor daily.
