The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties, producing high-quality work products in a timely manner. Responsibilities include patent prosecution, client counseling, drafting patent applications, providing freedom-to-operate opinions, and conducting due diligence. The candidate should possess transferable skills, strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools, and prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm. A degree in chemical engineering or chemistry, state licensure, admission to the USPTO, and a J.D. are required. Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and third parties verbally and in writingProduce high-quality work products in a timely and efficient mannerMeet deadlines and expectations while complying with firm policiesEngage in both physical and sedentary activities, including computer work and virtual meetingsPerform patent prosecution, client counseling, and drafting patent applicationsProvide freedom-to-operate opinions and conduct due diligence as neededFoster positive work relationships and collaborate with colleaguesPerform other duties or projects as assigned Requirements:2-4 years of experience in patent prosecutionTransferable skills and strong academic background from nationally recognized schoolsPrior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm is preferredBachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistryState licensure to practice lawAdmission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree Certifications:Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Skills:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work efficiently and meet deadlinesAttention to detail and accuracy in work productProficiency in patent prosecution procedures and practicesCollaborative and team-oriented mindset Benefits Offered:Comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance401(k) retirement plan This Amlaw firm is best known for allowing its associates to find a balanced work load that best suites them.
