Landscaper Irrigator is responsible for providng irrigation installation, maintenance and service of HOA common areas throughout the SpringPark HOA and Sports Club in Garland, TX. This person will be responsible for keeping accurate reords, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship. The job may also require general landscape maintenance items, such as pick up and removal of limbs.ESSENTIAL DUTIESWork closely with HOA Board of Directors, and the Outdoor Operations ManagerAlways represent the communities best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.Proficiently and safely use power and manually operating tools and equipment to perform irrigation installation and maintenance.Monitor and test old and new irrigation installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements and evaluate start ups, winterization and overall operating of the irrigaiton system.Perform minor hardscape installations and repair, periodic property maintenance.Conduct and record details inspections and plan/execute upgrades as necessary.Maintain and care for company equipment and tools.Maintain and clean job site, orderly and stocked equipment area.Forecast equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production.Understand and meet production and maintenance schedule deadlinesKeep track of inventory onsite and replenish as needed.Attend training classes and seminars as requested by the HOA Board of DirectorsREQUIREMENTS3 years' irrigation technician/ landscape irrigator experienceLandscape Irrigator (LI) License RequiredStrong customer service backgroundExperience with estimating and job costing experienceEssential knowledge recent prior experience with trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing.Previous experience with testing and backflow systems required.Must have valid driver's license with clean DMVR and current auto insurance coverage.Must be self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills, and be professional in appearance and actions.Must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and is quality results driven.Must be well organized with strong communication skills and ability to multi-taskMust have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks, and keep maintenance schedules on task, within budget and on time.Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team.Must take ownership of work and own the responsibilities of making sure things are done accurately.Must have a strong understanding and experience reading and interpreting landscape and irrigation plan specifications, technical procedures and processes and in accordance with county and city governmental regulations.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and without supervision.ADAPhysical demands require constant moving, walking, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to perform work. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, and position materials. Frequently required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50 to over 100 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Constantly required to communicate with ability to talk and hear.
