This is an onsite position 100%.Local candidates onlyThe shift is TBD. The manager provided the range the candidate may work. Per HM - We as a team currently cover 6 am to 7 pm. I am aware of the potential to have to cover later (to 10 pm) in the future. Currently, our team also covers Saturday, but as the program progresses this year, there may be Sunday coverage. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: This position performs entry-level activities which will include 70% time in lab troubleshooting PCB, cables, using scopes, and other diagnostic tools. Willing to perform runs on the system multiple days in a row. Solve problems independently. Applies a high level of technical support in a specialized discipline using knowledge and theory of electronics; life science; chemistry; mechanics; software; etc. Understands and uses knowledge of other disciplines. Uses computer applications as needed for functional specialty. Advanced skills in computer hardware and /or software applications. Document lab activities and troubleshooting. Accepts non-routine and complex assignments. Follows established procedures Uses judgment and makes choices on how to proceed. Assignments often require creativity. Researches; recommends; and implements appropriate changes for process improvements. Uses information from within and/or outside the organization when necessary. Reads; understands and instructs others in the use of manuals; test procedures; and documentation associated with specialized equipment. Reads; interprets; and may create engineering drawings; schematics, and complex test procedures. Writes basic procedures and technical documents. Working knowledge and use of complex tools and equipment specific to functional areas. May use statistical; mathematical and other quantitative and qualitative methods and measurements. Additional time may include design and development, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures, and tools. Promotes the process of continuous quality improvement and risk management and coordinates solutions for technical and project issues. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems. Exercises independent judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost-efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Primarily provides laboratory support for troubleshooting PCB, Cables, Using Scopes, and other diagnostic tools at the direction of senior engineers and scientists. (Anticipated 70% of the time) Lays out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Interfaces with software, hardware and firmware engineers to resolve issue Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function. Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids. Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports. Documents custom tools with specifications, schematics and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE: Problem Solving: Resolves non-routine; complex problems with data gathering; research; analysis and interpretive activities. Uses factual information; policy and procedures to determine solutions with minimal supervision. Verifies experimental data for usefulness and accuracy. Impact on Operations/Effect of Errors: Tasks; activities and/or information used to make decisions that are in direct support of the department's primary function. The effect of errors may have a significant impact in terms of time or money. MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school or equivalency is required. A bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience; is required. The Degree should be in the areas of Electrical/electronic engineering or related engineering field. Work requires the theoretical and conceptual knowledge associated with a bachelor's degree. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED: A minimum of six months of relevant work experience in working with a variety of Printed Circuit Boards, cables, motors, valves, pumps, fixtures, and tools. Training includes on-the-job training. Degree of physical effort and environment: Normal work fatigue. Normally safe environment. Typical electronic manufacturing/laboratory/office environment. Some work is subject to frequent hand/eye coordination, lifting/carrying of objects, or operating equipment. Work may be subject to moderately unpleasant conditions.
