Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of both prime and subcontractor billing methods. An individual with billing experience in other commercial subcontractor trades, such as electrical or plumbing, will also be considered a valuable addition to our team. This role is integral to our organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for our projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process project invoices in compliance with contractual agreements. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary billing information. Verify billing accuracy, including labor, materials, and subcontractor charges. Monitor project budgets and communicate any discrepancies to project teams. Manage billing for both general contractors and direct owners as the prime contractor. Maintain organized billing records and documentation for auditing purposes. Stay current with industry billing practices and regulations. Work closely with accounting and finance teams to reconcile billing discrepancies. Participate in project meetings to provide billing updates and address inquiries. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of commercial (not residential)mechanical contracting billing experience. Proficiency in prime and subcontractor billing methods. Familiarity with mechanical contracting billing processes is a significant advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing procedures. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.
