Landscape Crew Member Duties: Seasonal Landscape/Hardscape Laborer Employment Period: approx. 3/1/2024 through 11/30/2024 Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, depending which crew the worker is assigned to, which may include any combination of the following: landscaping or maintaining grounds & properties using hand or gas-power tools (including but not limited to): trimmers, clippers, string line trimmers, leaf blowers, shovels, rakes, ride-on equipment or commercial zero-turn mowers mowing and trimming of lawns trimming or removal of ornamental trees and shrubs (NO large tree trimming or climbing is involved) fertilizing of lawns and plants, weed maintenance with back pack sprayers sod laying or plant seed lawns planting/watering of ornamental trees and shrubs and flowers raking and cleaning of leaves and sticks, pulling of weeds loading and moving wheel-barrows full of materials trenching of less than 3’ depth (hand and machine methods) for installation of sprinkler or drainage pipe, conduit setting of concrete forms for patios digging of holes for plants, ornamental trees, fence posts/structure posts or concrete frost footings hand or machine edging of landscape beds mulch, soil and gravel installation sprinkler installation/repair low voltage landscape lighting installation/repair installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units or mortared masonry units installation of pavers or concrete patios and driveways power washing /cleaning of patios or concrete driveways general housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance and organization tasks for shop areas, stock yard areas, vehicles, trailers and equipment/tools assisting to keep worksites clean and organized other general labor tasks as needed Requirements: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older.2. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.3. Must be able to stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands and arms to grasp, hold, and carry equipment.4. Must be able to see well, hear well, and verbally communicate well.5. Must be able to lift 70 pounds on a regular basis.6. Requires ability to hear and speak. Talking and hearing occur continuously.7. Visual acuity is required. Must be able to see well, with the most common functions being near vision and depth perception.8. Work is outside. Must be able to work in variable weather and temperatures.9. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Other Expectations: 1. Dependability: Must be able to be on time and demonstrate regular attendance.2. Job Performance: Must be able to complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.3. Conduct: Must be able to follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
