We are currently seeking a full-time associate attorney to join our law firm in Cleveland, OH. As part of our team, you will have the chance to work closely with senior associates and litigation experts, gaining valuable insights into legal matters while offering legal advice to our client base. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, preparing documentation, and maintaining client records. Responsibilities:• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action• Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used in proceedings and contract negotiations• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys• Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals Qualifications:• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)• Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school• Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam Compensation: $85,000 About Company: Smith Clinesmith LLP is a leading national law firm specializing in nursing home abuse and neglect around the country.
