CAMBA Family Solutions (CFS) -Solution Based Casework, is a preventive foster care program. Utilizing the Solution Based Casework (SBC), an evidenced-informed casework practice model that prioritizes working in partnership with families, focuses on pragmatic solutions to difficult situations, and notices and celebrates change. By identifying and targeting specific everyday events in the life of a family that have caused the family difficulty and through partnership with Families and other service providers, CFS helps families address risk to the safety of children and restore the family’s pride in their own competence – thus reducing the risk of out of home placement. Additional support services are also provided such as parenting workshops, parent support groups, assistance with government entitlements, health concerns, referrals for treatment programs and other barriers that may be causing the family additional stress in caring for their children. Position: Program Supervisor Reports To: Program Director Location: 955 Flatbush Ave 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11226 What The Program Supervisor Does: Plan and organize program activities to maximize program contract's goals and performance targets. Oversee all direct service components (i.e., centralize intake, disposition of and assignment of new cases, Maintain intake files, copies & resources binder). Provide staff with tools and skills to provide program services. Schedule and coordinate all family case conferences to ensure compliance with the Improved Outcomes for Children (IOC) initiative. Request Conferences facilitated by ACS. Request records, accompany clients, school visits, Home visits (AA& BA level respectively) Edit and approve psycho-socials and ACS FASP for each family. Send out FASP reports & attach FTC request forms. Track referrals and send out weekly caseload updates to indicate new cases assigned. Utilize the PROMIS and CONNECTIONS databases. Communicate effectively with clients, direct reporting staff, peers, supervisors, and funders. Motivate, coach and counsel direct reporting staff to excel. Improve teamwork among direct reporting staff as well as among peers. Troubleshoot client and direct reporting staff program problems and make decisions in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocols. Work with direct reporting staff, in collaboration with Family Solutions coaches, to improve work performance through client feedback, training, and other appropriate mechanisms. Participate and complete Solution Based Casework general training, supervisory training and Seminar. Support direct staff in implementing SBC model to fidelity, while coaching and tracking certification of direct staff. Host weekly case consultations in compliance with Solution Based Casework model. Overcome resistance to change from clients, direct reporting staff, and supervisors/funders. Administer constructive discipline to direct reporting staff, as needed. Document unsatisfactory staff performance upon occurrence. Plan, coordinate and facilitate social/peer support events (i.e., family night, educational/recreational trips, parenting workshop etc.) including group facilitation for clients. Manage own time effectively and coordinate program activities to maximize time of direct reporting staff. Monitor clients' progress weekly. Review all staff case records, FASPS, and client documentation related to clients' progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity. Participate in administrative, staff meetings and trainings, as requested. Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders. Review and sign timesheets. Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff. Order program supplies and keep supply room/closet organized. Order safety supplies for clients (smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors, etc.) and keep a record of when one is given to a family. Order goods for clients, when needed, and approved by supervisor. Take a monthly inventory & maintain financial folder for site. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree (M.S.W. or C.S.W) in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or Counseling 2 years of supervisory experience, as required by Funder. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy). OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must obtain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance. Ability to maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance and fingerprint clearance through the duration of employment. Compensation : $61,000-$65,000 When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
