Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm is seeking a Litigation Practice Group Associate Attorney in New York City, NY.Job Overview:The Litigation Practice Group Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of complex litigation matters, with a focus on insurance and reinsurance disputes. The role involves drafting complex submissions, preparing witnesses, expert discovery, and trial practice. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and demonstrate a keen interest in developing pretrial and trial practice skills.Duties:Draft complex submissions for litigation cases.Prepare witnesses for depositions and trials.Conduct expert discovery and assist in trial practice.Develop pretrial and trial practice skills.Handle insurance and reinsurance disputes.Requirements:Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted or eligible for admission in New York.2+ years of experience in complex litigation matters.Interest in arbitration trial practice.Preferably, a background in insurance/reinsurance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Professionalism in working with demanding clients.Ability to balance and prioritize competing priorities.Extreme attention to detail.Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.Education and Certifications:JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted or eligible for admission in New York.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication.Proficiency in drafting legal documents.Strong organizational skills.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Collaboration and teamwork.Attention to detail.Legal research and analysis.
