Strong analytical skills and a robust academic background are essential for success in this role.Duties:Represent clients in tax litigation proceedings.Provide legal counsel on civil and criminal tax controversies.Handle whistleblower claims and voluntary offshore disclosures.Conduct legal research and analysis on tax-related matters.Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve tax disputes.Requirements:Juris Doctorate (JD) and LLM in Taxation.Minimum 8-10 years of tax litigation experience.Proven experience in tax court proceedings.Familiarity with civil and criminal tax controversy matters.Strong academic record with excellent analytical skills.Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.Preferred:Experience in handling whistleblower claims.Familiarity with voluntary offshore disclosures.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.Adaptability to evolving tax laws and regulations.
