Proposal Manager THE POSITION We seek an Independent Contractor to serve as Proposal Manager in support of the Company’s proposal process. The ideal individual will have a passion for proposal development and a talent for creating winning strategies. The Proposal Manager will lead our proposal process, working with nationwide, multi-disciplinary teams from pre-positioning efforts through proposal development to contract award. RESPONSIBILITIES: Proposal Team Leadership: Lead teams of our proposal coordinators, subject matter experts, writers, and color reviewers. Must guide teams to follow our well-documented process for proposal workflow using MSTeams. Backend Support Resources: Should have a cadre of consultants that can provide backend proposal support such as graphics, tech writing, etc. Analysis & Compliance: Analyze RFP/RFQ/RFI documents, develop proposal directives, management plans, compliance matrices, and production schedules to ensure timely and proper production of required documents. Coordination & Quality Control: Facilitate meetings, status calls, and reviews to ensure quality deliverables. Oversee non-technical portions of the proposal, including cover letters, executive summaries, and various management plans. Content Creation: Coordinate resources to craft compelling and customized responses that highlight our value proposition. Guide the creation of visually appealing client-facing materials. Review & Support: Review proposal drafts and final documents for accuracy and quality. Support follow-up questions, client interview preparation, and coaching. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a 1099 Position. This position is 100% Remote. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, Science, Engineering, or related field , AND; Formal proposal training and/or relevant certifications such as APMP, SMPS; AND, 7+ years in proposal management and development, with specific experience in Enterprise IT; AND, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro). Demonstrated ability to lead and manage proposal teams, including coordinators, subject matter experts, writers, and reviewers. Experience in guiding teams through a well-documented proposal workflow, specifically using MSTeams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance with RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and/or evenings.
