Embedded Software Engineer for Low Latency Applications Introduction At Dedrone we are building the world’s leading airspace security solutions to protect people, property and information from the threat of drones. Position We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer with experience in low latency applications in real time systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radar, electronic warfare and/or RF communication systems, as well as experience with CUDA and GPUs, familiarity with FPGAs, and strong knowledge of C++. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for real-time systems with low latency requirements. • Work closely with hardware design teams to ensure optimal use of hardware capabilities and interfaces. • Collaborate with system engineers, software engineers, and other team members to develop comprehensive solutions to complex problems. • Perform testing, debugging, and verification of software systems. • Develop and maintain documentation related to software design and implementation. • Stay current with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices related to embedded software design. Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in embedded software design and development. • Strong C++ knowledge with an emphasis on real-world systems integration problems. • Expertise with DMA, event-driven architecture, pub/sub model, and python integration • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Linux, QNX, and VxWorks. • CUDA programming: expertise with shared memory, GPU task management. • Python3 programming: expertise with NumPy and CUPY • Experience with Redis, DockerCompose, and MQTT • Familiarity with FPGAs. • Strong understanding of electronics and firmware/hardware interfaces. • Familiarity with RADAR and RF communication systems is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. • US Citizen, Permanent Resident (Green Card), or Asylee Preferred Experience: • Familiarity with Jetson architecture, Software Defined Radios (SDRs), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and Radio Frequency (RF) applications. • Experience with low latency and high-performance computing is highly desirable. • Previous experience in electronic warfare or communication systems is a plus. • Experience in defense or aerospace industry is a plus.
