Job Duties: Provide analytical insights into emerging problems, trends and portfolios. Use predictive analytics in Python to determine usability of new data sources for improved decision making. Support the lead of the team in performing oversight of high-impact statistical model and AI applications in a variety of business function areas, including but not limited to fraud detection, credit underwriting, marketing analytics etc. Conduct quantitative and qualitative model validation according to Model Risk Management Policy to identify and understand model risk issues. Collaborate with business units and model developers to remediate model issues and provide subject-matter expert opinion on model improvements. Perform model and AI risk governance related activities in line with enterprise risk framework, to ensure PayPals AI applications are compliant with ever evolving regulatory expectation such as Responsible AI. Provide industry pioneer methodology in addressing AI Fairness principles and optimization approach. Provide regular updates to leadership, peers and other stakeholders that will simplify and clarify complex concepts and the results of analyses effectively with emphasis on actionable outcomes and impact on the business. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field. Special Skill Requirements: Python, SQL, PostgreSQL SVMs XGBoost LightGBM Statistical and machine learning models Hyperparameter Tuning Synthetic Data Augmentation Credit Risk Modeling Base Salary: $ 131,380.20 to 147,400 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
