JOB TITLE: Military Analyst II (TOR 11-28) JOB LOCATION: Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027 AVAILABILITY: Immediate Opening JOB DESCRIPTION: Join an established team of analysts, writers, editors and web-savvy Training and Education Development Policy subject matter experts. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging policy requirements, revise current training and education development policy, and assess policy documents for alignment with current and future requirements. Provide clear and concise written analysis on findings and recommendations, prepare white papers, issue papers and information papers in specified formats, and maintain records and continuity files. Assist with the development, maintenance and sustainment of web-enabled documents and a Training and Education Developer - Toolbox (TED-T) reference site in order to deliver training development policy and tools via an established Army training website. QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters Degree in any field. English, Journalism or Technical Writing would be a plus. Graduate of a military service school equivalent to the Sergeant Majors Academy and/or the Command and General Staff College. Five or more years of general experience in military planning, training, operations, logistics, intelligence, force design/development and combat developments. Two years experience as a primary staff officer on a battalion or higher staff. Experience in writing Army policy and supervising or delivering classroom instruction. Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Must possess excellent organizational, planning and time management skills along with exceptional verbal/written communications skills. Must have knowledge and/or experience in post-secondary education, distance learning, curriculum development or educational assessment. CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
