Senior Software Engineer

Software engineers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a new or modified software product, from research and design to implementation, training and support.Responsibilities:Performs a variety of tasksDesigns, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications supporting internal business requirements or external customersSupports and/or installs software applications, may include end user training and documentationDocuments and maintains software functionality include break/fix and continual improvementParticipates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of softwareExecute full life-cycle software developmentWrites well-designed, testable, efficient code for complex solutionsUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools and programming techniquesParticipates in outside educational opportunitiesMentor Level I and II associates, facilitates associates on-boardingReviews other team members' code to ensure adherence to standardsWorks under limited supervisionA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsRecognized by peers as a disproportionate contributorMay provide consultation on projects and is considered to be a subject matter expert on technologyInvolved in Level II on-call supportQualifications:Master s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience5+ years experience in primary technology stack: .NET, C#, MVC, JavaScriptDemonstrable experience in full stack web application software development front end Web UI, middle tier service layer, and back end databaseExperience in Agile development processes, methodologies, and toolsDemonstrable experience working with database technologies, able to write complex SQL statements to read, update, insert, and delete dataExcellent knowledge of JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, SQL, Web User Interface Design, Web Services, Object-Oriented Design, and Security PrinciplesCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
