News Editor Trainee WINK Television News Fort Myers, Florida Description WINK News-Southwest Florida's news leader has an immediate opening for a news editor trainee. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities. We will teach non-linear news editing skills. You will learn the language of news and how to edit video for broadcast news working with producers, anchors, reporters, and photographers. MUST HAVE: Passion for the job! Must want to be a visual storyteller and a great communicator. Above all, you want to be an integral part of a team, getting a quality newscast on the air. $14.50-$16.75 an hour Benefits: Full-time new hires: Eligible to participate in all Company benefit plans, including: Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, and HSA 1 st of the month after 30 days employment Subject to plan terms Eligibility for company-paid benefits such as life insurance & EAP and employee-paid benefits such as short-term disability PTO – Earned on Accrual Basis Company-Paid Holidays 401(k) Southwest Florida is often praised as being one of the healthiest and happiest places in the world with miles of white-sand beaches and a dynamic community.
