Act as a professional representative of the company, overseeing and assuming responsibility for productivity of concrete, efficient use of materials and equipment, with safety in mind always, and performance of the project. 2. Check all elevations, measurements, and layouts to ensure they are correct, square, plumb, and level and adhere to the plans that have been within the scope of the contract. 3. Complete a material take off for rebar, lumber, block, concrete, hardware, etc. as well as red-lining plans. 4. Ensure the jobsite is clean and is in safe working condition. 5. Notify management of any cost implications for changes outside of the contracted scope of work for change orders that may need to be issued or of any discrepancies or conflict within the plans. 6. Ensure that local building codes are adhered to and checking on & scheduling inspections. 7. Manage labor on jobsite, confirm that crews are on site at the correct time, with proper tools and instructions. 8. Ensure that the correct paperwork has been received such as the current plans, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, etc. 9. Scheduling materials, subcontractors, and labor on a daily and weekly look ahead basis and develop work plans for crews that are consistent with the project s budget. Assist project manager in maintaining a 3-week rolling schedule to be reviewed 1-3 times weekly. 10. Meets with project superintendent prior to beginning a job to review scheduling, blueprints, specifications, and other project needs as well as job site set up. Job Description: The company is looking for an experienced concrete superintendent for a full-time position to join our team to professionally represent our company. We are a stable, successful company offering $60K salary to start, commensurate with experience, plus paid time off. Shifts are Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, starting at approx. 6:30 a.m. at our office in North Fort Myers, Florida and then driving to various job site locations throughout the day with some time being spent in an office environment. Projects will be commercial and residential new construction, concrete layout through tie Beam structural work. Applicant must have experience and deep understanding of structural concrete, supervising, scheduling, reading plans and doing take-offs, efficient use of materials and equipment. The superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the productivity of the on-site crews and scheduling masonry subcontractors, checking inspections, coordinating materials orders and delivery, checking job site safety and cleanliness, identifying, and reporting any issues with delays or problems. Physical demands of the job include being able to stand, walk, sit, drive, use hands, handle tools, stoop, kneel, able to lift 75 lbs., able to tolerate outdoor heat. The superintendent is expected to lead and mentor other workers on the job site as to what quality means according to company standards.
