The ideal candidate will have IP experience, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution, with a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar fields. Design engineering experience with a chip company is desirable, and preference will be given to candidates with expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or related areas. The candidate must be admitted to the USPTO, and Bar licensure in California is a plus.Duties:Draft patent applications and prosecute them before the USPTO.Conducting patentability and infringement analyses.Providing legal counsel to clients on IP matters.Collaborating with inventors and stakeholders to understand inventions and develop patent strategies.Managing patent portfolios and maintaining client relationships.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.Experience in IP law with a focus on drafting and patent prosecution.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar fields.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Knowledge or expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or related areas is preferred.Admission to the USPTO.Bar licensure in California is advantageous.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.A bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.Certifications:Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and analytical thinking.Proficiency in patent prosecution procedures and relevant software tools.
