Practice Area: Patent Agents - Software,Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering,Patent Agents - Computer Science, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Patent Agent with 2-6 years of legal experience and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have IP experience, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution. Design engineering experience with a chip company is desirable, along with knowledge in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar areas. Admission to the USPTO is required, and bar licensure in California is a plus.Duties:Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Conduct patentability and infringement analyses.Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and clients to develop patent strategies.Manage patent portfolios and ensure compliance with deadlines.Assist with patent litigation matters as needed.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.IP experience with drafting and patent prosecution.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Familiarity with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network, or related areas.Admission to the USPTO.Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.Certifications:Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and ability to work independently.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Team player with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
