Job Description: As the Lead Interior Designer at CKC Custom Homes, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our clients' visions into breathtaking living spaces. Collaborating closely with our team of architects, builders, and clients, you will oversee every aspect of the interior design process from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualization and Design Development: Develop innovative and visually compelling interior design concepts that align with clients' preferences, lifestyle, and architectural style of the home. Space Planning and Layout Design: Utilize your expertise in spatial planning and layout design to optimize functionality, flow, and aesthetic appeal within the home's interior spaces. Material and Finish Selection: Curate a cohesive palette of materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories that harmonize with the overall design concept while reflecting the client's taste, budget, and lifestyle. Customization and Detailing: Collaborate with clients and artisans to design custom furniture, cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural details that add uniqueness and personality to each project. Project Management: Oversee the execution of the interior design plan, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and craftsmen to ensure timely and accurate implementation of design specifications. Budgeting and Procurement: Develop comprehensive project budgets, track expenditures, and source furnishings and materials within specified budgetary constraints without compromising quality or design integrity. Client Collaboration and Communication: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all interior design-related matters, and providing clear and frequent communication to ensure alignment with their vision and expectations. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and inspire a team of interior designers, draftsmen, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment while providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Trend Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and materials, leveraging your knowledge and expertise to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to each project. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience (2 years) as an interior designer with a focus on high-end residential projects, preferably within the custom home construction industry. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools. Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of interior design projects demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and ability to translate client needs into compelling design solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and vendors. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets. Leadership qualities with a passion for mentorship, team building, and fostering a positive work culture. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes related to interior design. A keen eye for aesthetics, proportion, and spatial awareness coupled with a deep understanding of color theory, textiles, and materials.
