The ideal candidate should have 6-10 years of experience representing public companies, fund sponsors, and financial services clients in the U.S. and throughout Asia. Duties:Provide comprehensive legal support in litigation matters, including enforcement actions, investigations, and dispute resolution.Assist in developing and maintaining compliance programs, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.Conduct thorough investigations into legal matters by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.Represent clients in arbitration proceedings, prepare legal documents, and provide strategic guidance throughout the arbitration process.Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, conducting legal research to support case strategies.Effectively communicate with clients, providing legal advice and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.Travel to Japan as business needs arise for in-person meetings with clients. Requirements:6-10 years of proven legal experience.Strong background in enforcement and investigation, compliance, dispute litigation, and arbitration.Experience representing clients in litigation or arbitration proceedings.Admission to practice in the state of New York, or eligibility to become admitted in that jurisdiction quickly.Native Japanese language abilities (writing, reading, speaking). Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Japanese for effective communication with clients and counterparts. This law firm has an office in New York that provides legal services and advice on intellectual property matters, with a special focus on patent and other proprietary rights arising within the field of the Life Sciences. Attorneys provide high quality legal representation and creative solutions in bankruptcy and business restructuring, business and securities litigation, capital markets, finance, MA, and white collar defense.
