The ideal candidate should have a solid background in general commercial litigation, with a preference for those with insurance recovery experience. The candidate must be adept at handling pleadings, motions, and discovery practice, including e-discovery. Strong academic qualifications, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective client communication are essential for success in this role. Duties:Manage all aspects of general commercial litigation cases, with a focus on insurance recovery when applicable.Handle pleadings, motions, and discovery practice, including e-discovery processes.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client objectives.Work independently on assigned cases and collaborate with colleagues as needed.Interface directly with clients, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and a JD from an ABA-accredited US law school.3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a preference for insurance recovery experience.Admitted and in good standing as a member of the New York State Bar.Strong analytical and communication skills.Previous or current employment with an AmLaw 100 firm is a plus. Skills:General commercial litigation expertise.Insurance recovery experience (preferred).Proficient in pleadings, motions, and discovery practice, including e-discovery.Exceptional research and writing skills.Strong analytical abilities.Effective communication and client interface skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Professionalism and ethical standards in legal practice.
