Beverage ScientistKey responsibilities of this position will include:Drive new product formulation and existing product improvementDevelop ways to improve, enhance and cost-optimize current or new productsDevelop, expand and maintain a technology pipeline that feeds into the product development pipelineFacilitate in the development + execution of new products, product reformulations, and supplier qualifications from bench to production scale; accurately define technology, new products, and reformulation projectsCreate nutrition labels, ingredient statements, raw material costing, and validation; maintain product cost and design target reports; collect and evaluate supporting documentation for raw materialsIdentify capabilities to provide current and future products / technologies; assess opportunities for improvement with product performance and expectations; maintain and share formulas and finished good specifications with customer R&D partnersAttend and conduct initial plant trials and production; monitor production process to observe new opportunities; present and discuss processes and equipment findings to leadershipDevelop ingredients and process specifications; support Quality Assurance by ensuring finished product compliancePartner cross-functionally to support commercialization of products that meet sensory, cost, and timing requirementsParticipate in special projects and assignments, as requiredParticipate in all other miscellaneous and departmental tasks, as requiredAttend departmental / cross-functional meetingsSkills / Knowledge:Ability to operate chemical and analytical tools and laboratory equipmentAbility to acquire and adapt new commercialization technologies for successful product launchesKnowledge of nutrition science, ingredient functionality and product formulations (i.e., methods and techniques used to transform raw ingredients into food, understanding of process science and how formulas must be amended to fit specific beverage manufacturers)Knowledge of product formulation for RTD specificationsMust be able to travel approximately 25%**If you d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Kristine O Sullivan at kosullivan cps4jobs.com.JO: 12.24KO#LI-KO1
