The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. If you have excellent research and writing skills, can easily use today’s technology, and communicate effectively across all levels, we would love to connect! Responsibilities: • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis• Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions• Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Legal Research and Analysis: • Conduct thorough legal research on nursing home abuse and corporate malfeasance related to the operation/management of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.• Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to build compelling legal arguments.• Stay updated on changes in laws and precedents relevant to nursing home abuse litigation. Motion Practice: • Draft, file, and argue motions in state and federal courts.• Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.• Develop persuasive legal briefs and memoranda. Case Strategy and Management: • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies.• Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned cases, ensuring deadlines are met.• Conduct legal analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases from a legal strategy perspective in light of relevant statutes and case law. Qualifications: • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred • Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must• Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision• Ability to use Microsoft Office is required• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Proven success in drafting and winning motions in court.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Proficient in legal research software and tools.
