JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Registered Nurse - Pediatric Emergency Department RN - PEDS ED Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric Emergency Department will have the following job responsibilities: * You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocolsYou will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resourcesYou will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policiesYou will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Registered Nurse - Pediatric Emergency Department RN - PEDS ED Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Pediatric Emergency Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Experience in an acute care setting - REQUIREDPrevious Pediatric Emergency Department experience - REQUIREDAssociate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing programBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferredCurrent State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hireBasic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policyAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification requiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification requiredCertified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) - preferred MUST HAVE MIN 2 YEARS PEDS ER EXP. IN ACUTE CARE
