Job Description The NHTSA Submissions coordinator will assist in submitting to NHTSA all documents required by 49 CFR 579.5; every document sent to dealers, owners or purchasers of a motor vehicle or replacement equipment produced by the manufacturer. This is to be compiled, organized and delivered in a properly formatted "index" as specified in the regulation.Candidate must be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Review all documents processed (i.e.; Service Bulletins/Rapid Service Updates/Warranty Extensions, Part Technical Tips, Star Online publications, Dealer COMDASH Communications for Parts, Warranty and Other service related guidance, Customer Satisfaction Notifications and Emissions Recalls) and compile in a timely manner. The primary purpose of the coordinator is to assist in the collection and validation of service documents necessary for 579.5 reporting and inquiry responses and to ensure that no communications are missed or inaccurately reported to the agency (NHTSA). Responsibilities include Assist with Final Document Collection and Index Report Creation Reports comparisons and validation NHTSA Communication Portal (MCP) Entry of 579.5 Reportable Communications Assist with Product analysis/litigation and NHTSA inquiry service document discovery Assist with Weekly Pending Request List Updates for requests pending investigations Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field, Management Information Systems or Business Administration from an ABET accredited university (other degrees with relevant experience may be considered) 5 years of Automotive Industry related experience Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills Motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, develop new skills, and utilize technology to improve processes Ability to take complex information and present in simplified, easy to understand format Data entry and advanced analytical experience in Excel and other Microsoft suite products Internal and External Web portal navigation and ability to download/upload PDF documents Self-starter with great attention to detail and awareness of time sensitive workload Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (VISIO, Word, Excel, Teams) Additional Must Haves: 5 years of Automotive Industry related experience Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills Motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, develop new skills, and utilize technology to improve processes
