THE ROLE - STORE SALES ASSOCIATE AWS Mechanical is a sales and service HVAC partner provider with a leading home improvement retailer. We are looking to fill a position for an in-store HVAC sales associate. Duties will include showcasing a major brand in both air conditioning and heating. Sign-up customers for free at-home estimates, follow-up and help facilitate the sale. Must have a dependable car for local travel to other stores. Sales experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a can-do attitude. AWS Mechanical has been providing our customers with reliable home service care on Long Island and beyond since 1988. Our team is proud to offer extensive knowledge across home service industries. Job Title : Store Sales Associate (Full-Time) Reports to : Service Manager Department: HVAC (AWS) Direct Reports: None Location : Various Home Depot locations across Queens/Long Island FLSA Category : Non-Exempt DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - STORE SALES ASSOCIATE Develop new customer relationships; expanding our current database of clients Generate sales leads in 1-2 Home Depot locations Gather basic information from all interested customers and schedule free, no obligation appointments Document and follow-up on all leads Work together with field consultants in coordinating follow-ups and generating sales REQUIREMENTS - STORE SALES ASSOCIATE 5 (five) years of relevant working experience in the field preferred Ability to provide outstanding customer service skills with effective communication and professionalism Must be able to display effective problem-solving techniques and have the ability to remain calm in a high-volume environment Must have the ability to obtain new customers and maintain current client database Must have dependable transportation Tradeshow experience is highly desired COMPENSATION & BENEFITS -STORE SALES ASSOCIATE $15-$20 per hour AWS offers comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental and vision and a generous paid time off (PTO) program.
