Human Resources Generalist

Description:
Human Resources Generalist Primary Purpose: Under the supervision of the company's Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Generalist performs work of moderate difficulty in Human Resources and benefits administration. Assists the Human Resources Manager with recruitment functions, workers compensation reporting and tracking, employee relations, and provides information and assistance to employees regarding Human Resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures. Essential Duties: Provide customer service, both in-person and by telephone; answer questions from employees regarding Human Resources issues, rules, and regulations relating to Human Resources management; respond to employment verification requests, and other requests for information. Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies for high volume manufacturing plant. In conjunction with the Corporate Recruiter, facilitate management of the recruitment process, including coordination of interviews and onboarding activities with newly hired associates. Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager. Assist in the processing of personnel action forms and maintain accurate records. Explain employment benefits and general terms and conditions of employment to employees and department representatives; conduct initial new employee orientation for purposes of ensuring appropriate completion of payroll and benefits documentation. Research, compile and analyze data for special personnel projects and reports. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in a manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, as well as ATS platforms. Ability to work independently. Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong ability to multitask projects efficiently with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Energetic and goal oriented. Education and Experience: Associate's Degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience. 1-3 years of previous Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
