Zeal Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join our dynamic and growing team! We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated person who can assist and build trusted relationships by providing our members with superior financial solutions and outstanding service. This position performs a variety of member service related activities that individually do not constitute specialized tasks, but collectively represent the public relations and corporate image of the Credit Union. The Assistant Branch Manager performs all functions of the Branch Manager in the Branch Manager's absence, assists the Branch Manager in directing the operation of the branch in accordance with established policies and procedures and supports the business development efforts of the Credit Union. In addition, this position enforces personnel policies and ensures maintenance of the property.We are seeking someone who has a pleasant and professional demeanor and possesses the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing. You should enjoy working with the public using a courteous and professional approach. Zeal is looking for someone who is dependable and has strong organization, planning, analytical, leadership, research and resolution, and sales skills. Essential Functions: Assists members directly with their financial needs and offers members only products and services that will improve the member's financial lives. Supervise the activities of the branch staff by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions, handing sensitive member problems, explaining and enforcing policies and procedures to both staff and members. Ensure that staff is trained in all phases of job including identifying member solutions to improving their financial life to ensure quality service to members. Evaluates the job performance of branch staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Identify strengths and weaknesses and provide the resources to strengthen skills. Ensures vault, ATM and cash drawer levels conform to approved limits. Responsible for adequately maintaining and safely securing all currency, coin and negotiable instruments in branch. Ensures that daily balancing of transactions and cash. Conduct all monthly audits as directed and required. Ensures that the Branch image is favorable by providing a clean and pleasant environment for members both inside and outside of the branch. Conducts administrative duties by maintaining adequate levels of cash, supplies and maintaining equipment. Directs deposit, lending and member service functions in accordance with policies and procedures. Utilizes sales and service skills to coach and lead employees in cross-selling products and services. Administer the Branch Management Development Program and manage the branch participants. Finalize Saturday work schedule which includes scheduling Saturday workers for day off in same work week. Attend business functions during and after hours to increase visibility in the community. Ordering Cash for the Branch – including cash that is stored in vault, ATM and teller drawers. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent and a minimum of one year related experience Extensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services, procedures and policies, including but not limited to: loans, savings, certificates of deposits, IRAs, checking, ATM and debit card services, direct deposit, Home Banking, Telephone Banking, etc. Previous sales experience preferred Basic knowledge of debits, credits, understanding of cash handling and standard calculations using a 10 key calculator About Zeal Credit Union At Zeal Credit Union, we are passionate about our members and we work hard every day to help them achieve their financial goals.
