TruPartner Credit Union is looking for an Accounting Specialist. This key member of the accounting team is responsible for daily balancing of the credit union branches, reconciling general ledger accounts, and bank accounts. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to help improve efficiency within the processes. Responsibilities Ensures credit union branches are in balance daily. Reconciles general ledger and correspondent bank accounts. Reconciles credit and debit card reports. Processes return deposit items. Records and inputs incoming and outgoing wires. Performs monthly general ledger account reconciliations. Manages accounts payable and processes payments. Supports other members of the accounting team. Performs job-related tasks as assigned. Performance Measurements Keep all assigned GL accounts current and in balance daily according to established department standards. Process and reconcile daily settlements and reconcile the corresponding GL account in accordance with established department standards. Prepares assigned monthly and annual reports. Education/Certification High School Graduate. Additional advanced education preferred. Required Knowledge Knowledge of related computer applications Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Office products Experience Required Two years' experience in a credit union data processing or accounting operation field is preferred. Experience in multi-tasking environment is required. Skills/Abilities Must possess effective communication skills and computer knowledge. ge. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
