POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for processing, controlling and balancing of daily, weekly and monthly credit union activity in an accurate and timely manner. Position is responsible for daily verification of compliance risk areas including dormant account maintenance and escheatment. Provide backup to various positions in the accounting department. Responsible for ensuring exceptional service is provided to members and staff at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely performance of assigned accounting and related functions. Reviews source documents and records daily transactions. Balances and posts daily write-ups and journals. Process and submit for payment of American Express Travelers Checks and Money Order products on a daily basis. Process return deposit items. Balance daily Official Check File. Reconciles general ledger accounts as assigned, prepare monthly certifications. Performs various vendor related processes (CPI Insurance, Allied Products, GAP, Extended Warranty, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, etc.) Maintain various audit schedules.
