Description:
General description The Weaver is responsible for running weaving machines to produce quality products, while maintaining high efficiency, product output and a safe working environment. Key responsibilities Operate up to 24 weaving machines; Creel, inspect fabric, clean machines, blow down, keep up with yarn for style changes; Recognize defects in the cloth produced as the machine is patrolled by using cycle weaving; Keep assigned weaving machines and surrounding area of the machine clean; Work together with previous and next shift's personnel; Produce first quality fabric while maintaining high efficiency; Perform the job safely in accordance with the JHA; Perform general housekeeping duties; Other duties as assigned. Skills required Technical knowledge regarding running weaving machines Ability to lift up to 20-25lbs. Ability to walk and stand for 12 hours daily as it is a multiple machine assignment and requires stepping up and down on the weaving platform Ability to work in a hot and cold environment Excellent eyesight and ability to distinguish patterns, colors, and shades Ability to perform detailed tasks with minimal errors Ability to work with minimum supervision Self-starter mentality and strong work ethic Team player Communication skills Basic English speaking, writing and reading skills Basic arithmetic and computer skills Experience Minimum of two years of previous experience operating weaving machines preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro
