At Alabama Goodwill Industries, our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage the store operations. Ensure expenses and revenue goals are met. Complete store reports as needed. Act as a primary source for problem-solving. Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds; unloads donations from vehicles, offers tax receipts, and maintains accurate daily counts of donations. Sorts donations and secure items to be transported to stores and warehouses. Keeps a record of donations. Perform all job duties to ensure and provide a clean, safe, and pleasing environment to our customers by following safety standards. Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from trailers to store. Display strong cash-handling skills and perform daily banking. Plan and implement merchandising strategies. Resolve customer and donor complaints as needed. Provide world-class customer service in a professional and courteous manner. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and be sensitive to customer needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years' experience in a sales/management position preferred. High school diploma or equivalent, undergraduate degree preferred. Positive work history Excellent written and verbal communication skills Work with minimal supervision Value diversity Must have a valid driver's license.
