Job Scope: The Indirect Materials Planner will be tasked with controlling inventory levels, identifying obsolete inventory, and register/scrap items for inventory. Additionally, this individual will review and adjust stocking levels based on production volumes, usage, and safety stock quantity. Periodically, report inventory levels and organize the data in our inventory management databases in order to improve item identification. Job Functions: Review inventory for items that must be adjusted to maintain an efficient safety stock level in our warehouse. Request and adjust planner parameter levels based on production demands. Register new items and identify and remove obsolete items. Review the recorder list to identify items that should and should not be ordered Basic Qualifications: Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience Comfortable using all Microsoft programs including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint Previous experience and knowledge of inventory management Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 3+ years of experience working in a inventory management or planning role in a manufacturing environment Proven data analysis skills.
