Position Overview: The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking 2 temporary Occupational Therapists (OT). This summer position is itinerant will service Erie, Warren and Crawford Counties. This will begin in June and end in August.The OT serves as a functioning member of the educational team with duties to include: screening, evaluation, educational programs, transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with school performance. Hourly Rate: $41.39 Required Qualifications: - PA Licensure in Occupational Therapy Essential Functions: - Work with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning and service delivery. - Evaluates the student's ability and formulates the student's occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.- Interprets evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and challenges to students participation in the educational environment, directs program development, and guides evidence based intervention.
