POSITION SCOPE: The Hot Plant Operator is a safety sensitive position. We are seeking an experienced Hot Plant Operator with a strong background in mix designs and is responsible for Hot Mix Asphalt Plant daily production schedules. Experience in operation of other heavy equipment is preferred. This position is based out of Phoenix, AZ area and may require up to two weeks out of town travel. PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible for operating a hot (asphalt) plant efficiently to maintain production goals. Perform general maintenance, repair, and service to hot plant as required or directed by supervisor. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures. Must be capable of troubleshooting plant operational problems. Operate equipment including front end loader, ski loaders, plant truck as needed. Communicate current job information with contractors and drivers. Maintain plant files and records. May require two weeks working out of town. Other duties as assigned. BACKGROUND: Applicant must be at least 18 years old. 3 plus years of experience preferred Able to operate plant equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications. Willing to work in a team environment. General knowledge of hot mix asphalt business and operations. Basic computer skills and strong communication skills. M.S.H.A. certificate part 46 or 48 or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snow Fisher Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and an Equal Opportunity Employer of Individuals with Disabilities and Protected Veterans.
