For more information on A-Gas, and our environmental journey, please go to www.agas.com/us . We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support the site's strong Safety and Environmental programs. The candidate will need to understand the regulatory agencies ' regulations and have experience applying the interpretations. This would include applicable OSHA, TCEQ, and EPA requirements. This position will help enable the site to gain the ISO 14001 certification through assistance in documentation and training. The EHS Specialist will have daily direct interaction with operations personnel in a collaborative way to improve safety . This role will help reinforce a culture of safety and protecting the environment. Responsibilities : Support ongoing training by presenting weekly safety meetings Assist with reviews and investigations of incident reports Perform daily site walkabouts and provide feedback to the team through database documentation and direct communication with stakeholders Complete and u pdate Risk Assessments on existing processes Complete equipment inspections on safety related devices Write and audit to Lockout Tagout procedures for equipment Support the new hire onboarding Assist with training to prepare the site for ISO 14001 certification Assist with documenting risk assessments for existing processes Assist in planning or auditing on-site contractor construction projects Evaluate work areas for ergonomic risk Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in an EHS specialist role or equivalent certification in CSHO, CSP, or ASP High School Diploma Required Skills and Knowledge : Understanding of regulatory bodies such as the US EPA, OSHA, and DOT Familiarity with TCEQ and EPA regulations A sound understanding of and experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Strong computer, project management, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team setting Comfort able leading group presentations Other duties as assigned Why A-Gas?
