Here is more about this position: The Residential Construction Manager is one of the most crucial roles within our company. This position is responsible for implementing the home vision created by the customer in conjunction with our sales, architectural drafting, and selections team members over months of hard work and planning.The Residential Construction Manager will be the main point of contact for the customer, subcontractors, building departments, and inspectors. This extremely organized and resourceful individual will keep all parties engaged, on-task, on budget, and safe, while striving to exceed client expectations.At times it may feel like you are herding cats, babysitting monkeys, and putting out fires - all while maintaining a high degree of integrity and professionalism... but the exceptional sense of accomplishment and joy you will experience when handing over a beautiful and well-built home to thrilled customers will make it all worthwhile.We value and expect quality work at Hostetler Family Homes. As such, this position will oversee a maximum of 5 custom homes concurrently, but typically only manage 3 home projects at a time. Essential Functions: Responsible for scheduling, supervising, and ensuring the quality of all work on the job site Interpret, understand, and follow construction drawings, and know when to ask questions to ensure successful and timely completion of projects Establish and maintain the construction schedule in our project management application Regular communication with our customers through our construction management application, including a minimum of 2 site logs per week and one weekly progress update. Collaborate with company president and homeowner to find solutions for any issues that arise during construction Exceptionally coordinate schedules between subcontractors Hold trades accountable for quality and cleanliness after each trade is complete Ensure projects are ready for trades when they are scheduled including materials availability, cleanliness, and completion of previous trades Verify correct selections are being installed Coordinate inspections and effectively communicate results Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete some fill in work in between trades Required Skills & Abilities: Able to understand unique site characteristics, restrictions, and requirements General construction, materials, and tools knowledge Ability to prioritize job responsibilities Exceptional ability to analyze and effectively solve problems Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to handle adversity and challenges Service & teamwork oriented Customer centered and focused Behaviors: Resourceful Demonstrates integrity Strong leadership skills Displays initiative Takes ownership Good listener Precise & Thorough Trustworthy Thrives in a fast-paced environment Collaborative Transparent Humble Focused Experience and Education: High School diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in one or multiple trades Minimum 2 years of experience leading residential construction projects Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills Proficient user of computer and smart phone - some experience with Microsoft Office and learning new software for job and administrative tasks Thank you for reading this entire posting.
