POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Position Title: Courier/Van driver Department: Operations Open Date: April 18, 2023 Reports to: Facilities Manager Close Date: Until Filled Work Location: Carnation (Hillsboro) Hiring Range:* $15.75 - $17.33 Hourly FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Status: Regular Full-Time (RFT) Benefit Status: Benefits Eligible Work Hours Per Week: 40 Number of Positions: 2 Months Active: Year Round Positions Supervised: 0 *Note on Hiring Range: For applicants with extensive qualifications and/or years of experience, hiring range may be exceeded with approval. If approval is granted, it will be based upon careful review of the applicant's qualifications, experience, internal equity and budgetary considerations. The final rate approved will typically never be at a rate equal to or above the established midpoint of the pay range for the position. Duties include insuring the deliveries are completed according to daily schedule, in a professional manner and in good condition. Must be able to maintain records of deliveries in an accurate manner and receive directions via phone, e-mail, and person to person. Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Transport meals and deliver to designated Community Action sites throughout Washington County. Load food carriers onto van for delivery to Agency sites. Return food equipment to central kitchen. Pick up and deliver mail and supplies from one point to another. Assist with transfer and movement of classroom equipment and furniture as needed. Maintain a written log of activities and mileage and report any vehicle deficiencies to supervisor. Daily check of help desk system to complete assigned tickets. Conduct monthly safety inspections (i.e. - fire extinguishers). Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times and respond/correct any at-risk safety issues immediately. Strictly adhere to agency code of ethics and standards of workplace behavior. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs including regular and reliable attendance and adherence to all company workplace behavior standards. Support facilities, maintenance, and warehouse activities such as archiving documents during the summer months. Marginal Functions and Responsibilities : Other marginal functions and responsibilities as Required Education/Training/Experience : One or more years of related job experience. No chargeable accidents or moving violations in the 3 years immediately preceding Ability to comprehend and carry out verbal or written Ability to communicate with a diverse population in a professional and respectful Continuous mental and/or visual effort for a sustained period of Sustained high degree of care and awareness required to prevent physical Regular, routine contact with other departments and occasional external contacts primarily to supply or seek Preferred : N/A Required Licensing or Other Special Certifications : Must possess a valid Class C driver's Current Oregon Food Handler's card (or obtained within 30 days of employment). Required Physical Demands of Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Most work is conducted in an office environment with moderate to extensive phone use. Extensive use of computer and keyboarding. In normal work day, may stand/walk __2__ hrs/day; may sit _ 6_ hrs/day; may drive __ 2 hrs/week; may use hands for repetitive grasping, pushing and pulling, typing and fine manipulation _ 3_ hrs/day; may use hands at or above shoulder level for _ 1_ hrs/day. In normal work day, may bend, squat, and/or climb occasionally. Work is light in nature, lifting maximum of 30 lbs. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 lbs. May require walking or standing to a significant degree, or sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
