Mechanical Designer/Drafter - Tymetal Corp. Tymetal Corp. has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter in our Greenwich, NY office. This position will work closely with sales to develop submittal drawings using AutoCAD and will also support the manufacturing team with shop drawings using SolidWorks. Prepare drawings from photos, detailed notes and product specifications for the sales and manufacturing departments. Generate manufacturing bills of material (BOM's). Convert sales orders to manufacturing work orders using our ERP software. Create nests for plasma, laser and waterjet tables. Recommend design modifications to improve and/or simplify finished product. Update and modify drawings based on Engineering Change Notices submitted by manufacturing. Qualifications of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter: AAS in Mechanical Drafting or Design, or equivalent work experience. SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required. Strong mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with document management systems.
