April 11, 2023 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Facilities Maintenance Supervisor City of The Dalles Closing Date: Open until filled. First review May 4, 2023 DEFINITION: This is a field supervisory position requiring facility maintenance experience and the ability to respond to emergency call outs. Safely performs a variety of skilled, technical and administrative work related to the maintenance, repair and development of City facilities and grounds and their supporting infrastructure. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and executing citywide facilities maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, energy management, renovation, and repair of City-owned buildings/grounds. Coordinating and assisting contracted custodial services. (For a complete list of responsibilities, see job description attached to the job announcement on the City web site) QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:Education: High school education or equivalent; 3 years additional education in facility maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC including apprenticeship.Experience: 4 years experience in a similar position that included supervision of others, performing facility maintenance, data entry using PC, copy machine, scanner, and multi-line telephones.Training: Training appropriate to maintain proficiency and licensing in skills. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Valid Driver's License with insurable record. Oregon License in facility maintenance electrician (BME or LMS), plumber, HVAC (LHR) Mechanical or higher is strongly preferred. PAY: The wage range for this position will increase July 1, 2023 to $73,508.10 to $90,405.69 annually, plus generous benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision and retirement contributions of 13.5% of base wage after one year of employment.
