If you would like to see more of what Sigma is about visit our website at www.sigmaec.com . WHAT WE NEED: IT Director Sigma is seeking an IT Director to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The IT Director is responsible for overseeing IT personnel and daily operations within the IT department. Their duties include creating job posts, interviewing and hiring qualified candidates, relaying information between upper management and department employees and managing the department budget. Responsibilities: Conducting routine evaluations of network and data security Locating and seizing chances to enhance and update software and systems Creating and implementing the organization's IT policy and best practice manuals Creating workshops and training programs for staff Performing routine system audits Running routine system operations reports and sharing them with top employees Organizing and establishing deadlines for major IT projects such system updates, migrations, upgrades, and outages Managing and reporting on the IT budget's allocation Advising the IT staff Looking for opportunities to train and build teamwork skills WHO WE NEED: Five years of experience managing daily operations of a fast-paced IT department. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related fields, plus ten years of experience planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining information technology systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations, including implementing and maintaining NIST security standards. In-depth understanding of cyber-security and design and support of infrastructure and servers. Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills Advanced leadership and conflict management skills Customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail Must be able to operate independently while also keeping management updated. Great project management skills, including organization, planning, prioritization, and time management Additional Information: Employees are required to adjust their standard work schedule to meet the requirements of their position, which includes and not limited to evening and weekend hours to perform scheduled and unscheduled workload requirements to maintain production operations.
