Job Description: Aptus is the leading provider of engineered construction services and product solutions for utility piping, conduit and drainage systems attached to bridges and tunnels. Aptus also provides Natural Gas Line Services such as remediation and inspection. Our portfolio is built on more than 25 years of practical field experience serving the heavy/civil, ITS, electrical, power, and telecom markets. The Skilled Laborers will report directly to the Foreman or Superintendent and will be an integral member of the team. The Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To Understanding and communicating project goals and timelines. Working to gain proficiency in understanding construction plans and specifications. Ensuring all team members are prepared for their work shifts (on time, proper attire, etc.). Working with and encourage team productivity to meet or exceed scheduling goals. Learning and following company and industry safety rules and regulations to ensure onsite safety. Working with Superintendents, Foremen and co-workers to learn new tasks (e.g. Operating the Hydraplatform, Using Hilti Epoxy, etc.). Bridge access equipment. Bridge utility systems. Ensuring and inspect quality of work. Performing other duties as required. Job Requirements High School and/or completion of Vocational School, college degree a plus. Class A CDL preferred. Valid and current driver license is mandatory. Background Check cleared. Motor Vehicle Record checked biannually. Become familiar with intermediate level computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Team player with field staff, project management and internal company management. Comfortable working from heights and over water. Ability to remain calm, focused and effective in pressure situations. Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills. Ability to travel and work at various job sites throughout the United States for various durations approximately 90% of the year. Conduct daily JHA (job hazard analysis) or similar on designated applications (software) Aptus Group USA is a Drug Free Workplace. Candidates will be required to pass pre-employment and randomized DOT regulated drug tests. 1+ years related experience or equivalent role (Utility or Outside Plant experience a plus). Safety standards knowledge and enforcement. Physical Requirements Daily lifting of items over 50 lbs., with or without the use of mechanical aids. Ability to spend all day outdoors exposed to weather and stand for long periods of time. Full use of hands and fingers as there is use of precision or semi-precision tools. Daily basic physical exertion, such as bending and twisting, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, or carrying.
