OSP Facilities Maintenance Technician

Description:
Position Summary: Performs general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities. Maintains mechanical equipment and structures, including environmental systems and emergency power generators. Assists with maintenance and groundskeeping duties. Duties may include, but not limited to, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Essential Job Functions: Performs general maintenance and upkeep of buildings by repairing plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, and related items. Performs routine maintenance including replacing light bulbs, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures and performing simple repairs to furnishings as needed. Maintains a clean environment during and after all work projects. Maintains mechanical equipment and structures, including environmental systems and emergency power generators. Assists with maintenance and groundskeeping duties. Assists with inventorying plant materials. Assists with the diagnosis of issues to determine the best course of action. Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Knowledge of company products and services. Knowledge of all applicable codes relating to the systems being maintained or installed. Knowledge of AC & DC electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Knowledge of generator systems. Knowledge of general building and grounds repair and maintenance. Skills in operating various hand and power tools. Skill in basic troubleshooting to determine necessary repairs. Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and forms including diagrams and specification manuals. Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, fax, telephone, smart phone, and various software programs and tools including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email. Skill in operating various grounds and maintenance equipment including mower, small engines, truck and trailer. Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to effectively function as a team player. Must possess valid driver's license. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2-4 years' facilities maintenance experience preferred. EPA Certification is also preferred.
