This culinary position earns $55,000 - $70,000/year plus bonuses and includes working weekends--we are open Wednesday - Sunday and closed on Monday and Tuesday. As a venue, not just a food truck on the side of the road, we have close relationships with local farmers and support local businesses and the community. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF In this Chef role, you work directly with our owners and local farmers to manage the menu, pricing, and order food for our brewery's food truck. You will utilize local farms as well as have access to a culinary garden. You make a point to foster positive relationships with staff, and take pride in creating great food! To make sure food is of highest quality and consistency, you make sure preparation, seasoning, and execution is on point and you check in with fellow team members to ensure quality across all stations. Also, to ensure the freshest ingredients are used, you make sure everything is stored and handled correctly and safely. Prior to cooking, you inspect all food prep and serving area to make sure all safety and sanitary measures are followed. On top of managing and overseeing daily kitchen operations, you order supplies, manage staff, and stock the food truck. You tap into your creativity as you utilize local produce to design exceptional food at affordable prices. Being a hands-on leader, you lead by example and inspire others to also take pride in their work. You enjoy the fast-paced environment and the team atmosphere that can only be found in a restaurant! At the end of the day, you take great pride in knowing you've created delicious food, and have shared your passion with your team and with every guest that enjoys our brewery! QUALIFICATIONS At least 3 years of experience in food preparation Food manager certification Creative eye and ability to transform local produce into composed and delicious dishes Able to work weekends Excellent leadership skills Do you love food and the culinary arts? Do you have good communication skills? Are you a customer service rockstar? Do you work well as part of a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment?
