Philadelphia Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our team as a Pool Desk Attendant for Summer 2023 for our state-of-the-art resort-style pool. This opportunity is an part-time position, with flexible scheduling and must have day, night, and evening availability. The Philadelphia Country Club pool is a focal point of the Club in the summer months which includes a relaxing environment with outstanding food and beverage options. Our staff works as a team to ensure spending a day at our pool is an experience for our members and their guests that rival the finest resort pools in the world. If you are an outgoing, creative individual, and self-motivated person, this position with PCC is for you. Shifts include: day, evening, weekend, early morning lap swim, and various events. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Checking in club Members and Member's guests - Scans the pool area to ensure that everyone is safe and behaving according to pool rules - Enforces the rules fairly and consistently as needed - Assisting preparation the pool for events, float nights, swim meets and pool parties as needed. - Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue assistance if needed. Provides emergency care and treatment until the arrival of emergency medical services. - Assist in administering first aid to minor injuries such as cuts, bee stings and bruises of swimmers. - Reports all accidents, injuries, and incidents to Pool Experience Manager. - Inspects the pool area for unsafe conditions and cleanliness to prevent accidents and reports hazards. - Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment. - Inspects the pool area and bathrooms for cleanliness. Performs general pool cleaning, maintenance duties and checks cabana areas. Empties trash cans. Gathers used towels and takes to laundry. - Other duties, as assigned. Job Requirements: . - Previous lifeguarding experience, pool desk experience, or lifeguard certificaton preferred, but not required. - Must be willing to undergo background checks in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws. - Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene.
